About Me

I am a writer, illustrator, educator and seeker of adventures large and small. A middle school science teacher for over 20 years, I love to share my enthusiasm for the natural world with kids of all ages. My mission is to connect readers with the wonders of our planet and inspire understanding of people’s place in the environment. 

I live in Rhode Island with my husband, Eliot and my ball python, Lurch.

I'm fortunate to be a part of so many communities of people with good energy and great efforts. From White Barn Farm to Save The Bay to Clean Ocean Access and Norman Bird Sanctuary to all my wonderful family and friends, there are so many people working to make the world a better place.
